Biography
South Florida duo Soul Oddity championed the new skool electro style, a blend of Detroit electro and Miami bass funk, as the creative partnership of producers Josh Kay and Romulo Del Castillo. Their formation reportedly stemmed from a random UFO sighting, an event that fueled a lasting preoccupation with extraterrestrial motifs on the 1996 debut album Tone Capsule. The full-length gathered the three EPs the pair had put out earlier that year. In 1997 the duo released Randa Roomet through the Phoenecia side project.
