Spleen United

Forming an electro-rock group based in Denmark, Spleen United featured Bjarke Niemann on vocals and guitar, Kasper Nørlund on synthesizer and vocals, Rene Wenher on synthesizer, Gaute Niemann on bass and synthesizer, and Jens Kinch on drums, although Kinch would later exit the lineup to focus on fatherhood. The act issued its debut album, Neanderthal, in 2008. That first release topped the Danish charts, prompting England's NME and other respected outlets to draw favorable comparisons between Spleen United and established acts such as the Killers and Muse.
