Biography
Hailing from Newton, West Virginia, Parsons launched his gospel singing journey alongside The Calvary Men. He became a baritone member of The Kingsmen in 1975, departing four years later to launch an independent path that has yielded 25 albums blending Southern gospel and MOR styles. Six awards from Singing News Magazine have come his way, among them the prestigious Marvin Norcross Award bestowed in 1990. On the Southern gospel charts, "Sweet Beulah Land" reached the top spot during 1981.
