Biography
Steve Brian works as a versatile EDM producer and DJ whose sound draws deeply from trance traditions. Since emerging in the mid-2000s he built a presence on the Euphonic imprint that eventually carried him onto worldwide stages, steadily expanding a catalog through solo projects, joint ventures, and remixes alike. His output encompasses dozens of singles and remixes plus two full-length productions, Calera (2009) and Wanderlust (2018).
Born Stefan Brünig in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany, Brian began his Euphonic tenure alongside Markus Pilar as the duo Marksun & Brian, issuing a series of singles between 2005 and 2008. Stepping out alone, he introduced himself with the characteristically joyous “Yaya” (2009) before delivering Calera (2010), an album that stood as his only such effort for nearly a decade. Subsequent EPs have appeared on Euphonic, Lange, Enhanced Progressive, and additional outlets, while side projects have surfaced under the names Agulo, Cabriolet Paris, and Michel Balog. His remix credits prove even more abundant, among them Allure’s “Stay Forever” (2012), Alex M.O.R.P.H.’s “From the Universe with Love” (2012), and Mike Oldfield’s “Moonlight Shadow” (2013). Parallel to that work he continued issuing vocal-driven originals such as “Wait for Me” (featuring Christian Carmaco) and “In Your Eyes” (featuring Eric Lumiere), both well-received singles that paved the way for his second proper album, Wanderlust (2018).
