Biography
Welsh D.I.Y. pop musician Alex Stephens records under the Strawberry Guy name, shaping pastoral, lo-fi psych-pop that draws from Romantic-period classical music and art. After moving to Liverpool to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, he joined West Yorkshire indie rockers the Orielles as keyboard player. Stephens launched the Strawberry Guy moniker in 2018 and received notice the next year through the viral hit "Mrs Magic," which featured on his debut EP, Taking My Time to Be. He delivered his first full-length effort, Sun Outside My Window, in 2021, then issued the EP F Song and Mrs Magic (Strings Versions) two years later in 2023.
