Superfruit

Pentatonix members Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying established Superfruit at first as their shared YouTube channel, which later served as an extra platform for sharing their songs. Hoying and Grassi had planned separate accounts on the platform yet ultimately chose to combine their efforts instead. Superfruit debuted in August 2013, its blend of gay-friendly vlogs, sketches, and music quickly accumulating hundreds of millions of views. Original tracks from the duo arrived in 2016, beginning with the October single "Bad 4 Us" and followed by "Sweet Life" the next month. In 2017, alongside featured work with Betty Who and Pentatonix member Kirstin Maldonado, the pair issued its first album split across two EPs. Future Friends: Part One, containing input from PC Music's Danny L. Harle and Chairlift's Caroline Polachek, surfaced that June while Future Friends: Part Two followed in September.
