Biography
What began as a purely studio-based venture for Belgian pair Patrick Bruyndonx and Raffaele Brescia, performing under the name Sweet Coffee, later moved to live stages once their refined fusion of house, lounge-pop, jazz, and funk gained traction with the 2004 release Memory Lane. Soul vocalist Bibi Diabokua joined as a full-time collaborator on the 2005 album Perfect Storm and its 2007 follow-up Naked City, yet the project reached its commercial peak only after she stepped away, drawing on multiple guest vocalists to fill a support role during Lionel Richie’s European tour dates, to appear at Rock Werchter, and to complete the fourth studio album Face to Face in 2010.
