Technohead

Michael Wells and Lee Newman, a married couple, achieved their greatest recognition performing as Technohead, even though they issued recordings under various aliases such as Tommy Yamaha, Tricky Disco and GTO on imprints including XL, R&S, Mute and React. Their track "I Wanna Be a Hippy" held the top position on the Dutch charts for four weeks during the middle of 1995; however, Lee Newman passed away from cancer on August 4, merely three days following the pair's issuance of their first full-length release, Headsex.
