The B-Sides

Originating in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the punk-pop quintet the B-Sides comprised bassist Ken Mosher (formerly of Squirrel Nut Zippers), guitarists Ari Picker and Noah Smith, keyboardist Travis Horton, and drummer Eric Kuhn. Positioning themselves as a “geek rock” outfit in the manner of Weezer and comparable acts, the B-Sides delivered two recordings: the EP Two Beautiful Beachers and the full-length debut Yes, Indeed, the B-Sides, Quite! on Cargo Records. Lineup adjustments eventually pared the ensemble down to the duo of Picker and Smith, who then enlisted brothers Jonny and Joah Tunnell of Vibrant Green to form a new rhythm section before renaming the project the Never.
