The Blood Arm

Formed in Los Angeles and still based there, the Blood Arm assembled for the first time in 2003, its lineup consisting of Nathaniel Fregoso on vocals, Zebastian Carlisle on guitar, Dyan Valdès handling both piano and bass, Zachary Amos at the drums, and Ben Lee Handler serving as master of ceremonies. Critical affection arrived swiftly, as writers at pop and rock outlets across the globe warmed to the group’s concerts. Their debut album, Bomb Romantics, appeared in 2004, yet the band left a stronger mark through opening slots alongside Franz Ferdinand, Killers, Hot Hot Heat, and Spoon, capped by their receipt of the Best Live Act honor at the 2005 South By Southwest Music Conference. After signing to City Rockers, they issued the follow-up Lie Lover Lie in 2006.
