Biography
Formed by Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez of Masters at Work, the studio project the Bucketheads allowed him to chase an energetic blend of his main touchstones: disco, house, hip-hop, freestyle and Latin street music. That style came through clearly on the Bucketheads' pair of major dance successes, 1996's "The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind)" and the 1997 follow-up "Got Myself Together." Positiva issued the quasi-retrospective LP Dungeon Tapes in 1995, after which came the debut album All in My Mind. [See Also: Masters at Work, Nuyorican Soul] ~ John Bush
