Biography
In 1978 the Greenes, a family gospel ensemble, arose in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains region. Brothers Tim and Tony joined sister Kim to form the core trio, with their father Everette supplying piano at the outset; the group maintained a steady touring pace until national attention arrived in 1984, when the single “Gloryland” entered the Gospel Top 40. After Kim departed, sopranos Amy Lambert and Milena Parks were brought in, followed by the addition of TaRanda Kiser in late 1997. Special Time surfaced the next year, Wonderful Story appeared in 1999, and So Happy followed one year later.
