Biography
Following the 1990 death of vocalist Larry "Big Twist" Nolan, The Mellow Fellows kept their core lineup intact and now perform under the name The Chicago Rhythm And Blues Kings. Co-founders saxist Terry Ogolini and guitarist Pete Special enlisted Twist's pal Martin Allbritton as the new frontman; together they recorded the buoyant Street Party for Alligator that year, with part-time member Gene "Daddy G" Barge contributing saxophone and vocals. After Special's departure the band assumed its current regal billing.
