Biography
Philadelphia rappers Duerwood Beale, Walter Griggs, and Robert Walker came together as Three Times Dope and issued their first album, Original Stylin', in 1989. Boasting, self-promoting narratives, and comic or novelty pieces dominated the record, although the "What's Going On" medley ventured into social commentary. Their follow-up, Live From Acknikulous Land, arrived in 1990 and sought to function as a more serious "concept" project.
