Tim North

Emerging from Toronto's hip-hop circuit, Tim North pairs nimble rhymes with hazy, unhurried instrumentals. Momentum accumulated through steady single drops led to his first EP appearing in 2022. A Montréal native, North initiated his path after settling in Toronto and posting material online. Recording at first as Fundament and also as Young Timothy, he soon drew a string of producers offering beats. Issued in 2013, "Don't Stop" unveiled his hallmark approach—fluid, melodic, and edged with aggression—over lean, sedative backdrops. Internet traction mounted two years later with "100 Proof," then surged in 2017 via the standout "Fuck Luck." The 2018 release "Countin'" brought a move to Midnight Roll, while 2021 delivered wider exposure through a feature on Italian EDM duo Merk & Kremont's Island single U&U. He changed imprints again that year, joining Boom Records for the streaming favorite "My Way." Early Wishes followed in 2022 as his opening EP, a set North wrote, produced, mixed, and mastered while also directing several of its videos.
