88GLAM

Hailing from Toronto, MCs Derek Wise and 88 Camino produce silky, seductive trap/R&B tracks under the name 88GLAM. Their material characteristically blends subdued, frosty synth lines and punchy rhythms with heavily processed, Auto-Tuned vocals that dwell on topics including narcotics, vehicles, accessories, and romantic setbacks. Each artist previously belonged to the Get Home Safe collective alongside Jazz Cartier and has issued solo work. In 2017 the pair issued their debut self-titled album, which contained the NAV-assisted single “Bali” and entered the Canadian Top 100. They followed a year later with the sequel 88GLAM2, peaking at number 32 and featuring both the Gunna collaboration “Racks” and the NAV reunion cut “It’s a Flex.”
