Tito Gomez

Tito Gomez, a singer from Puerto Rico, first entered the tropical music scene through early partnerships with leading figures including Ray Barreto, Charlie Palmieri, and La Sonora Ponceña. His move to Venezuela placed him in the local ensemble Orquesta Amistad, after which he joined Grupo Niche once he had settled in Colombia. In 1992 Gomez secured a recording deal with Musical Productions. His first album, Un Nuevo Horizonte, spotlighted the hit single “Dejala,” while his vocal pairing with Tito Rojas on “Dejala II” was included on Recogiendo Frutos.
