Biography

Philip "Fatis" Burrell discovered Sheldon Campbell, who performs as Turbulence. Raised along Jamaica's Mannings Hill Road, the artist fuses hip-hop and R&B into a reggae sound that pairs soulful vocals with DJ techniques. His first single, "Keep It Going," appeared in 1997 on the Sky Hi label. Burrell later placed the track "Word Wid It" on the 1999 Xterminator compilation The Herbalist, after which Turbulence issued his self-titled debut album in early 2000.
