Biography
Emerging from San Francisco at the dawn of the new millennium, Turn Me on Dead Man operates as a five-piece psychedelic rock ensemble that folds in touches of stoner metal, a hybrid the group itself labels heavydelic. Their concerts quickly earned a reputation throughout the Bay Area for sheer volume and visceral force. Artwork intended for the band’s first album initially drew the attention of Jello Biafra, whose interest soon extended to the music itself and led him to place Turn Me on Dead Man on his Alternative Tentacles roster. The resulting debut, God Bless the Electric Freak, appeared in 2005, with Technicolour Mother following in 2006. The group has since logged countless dates across California and the East Coast, among them a slot at the SXSW music conference.
