Biography
The Tejano ensemble Vida came together through the combined talents of vocalist Art Tijerina, bassist Manny González, saxophonist Héctor Fuentes, keyboardist Javier Sauceda, guitarist Jason Martínez, drummer Tim Villanueva, and accordionist Sunny Sauceda. Their initial commercial breakthrough arrived with the track "Sin Buenas Condiciones," issued in tandem with the album Vida. TTMA honored the group in 1996 with the title Most Promising Band of the Year. Nominations for Showband of the Year and Best Tejano Band followed for Vida in 1997.
