Vulture Industries

Formed back in 1998, the experimental and avant-garde black metal outfit Vulture Industries first operated under the name Dead Rose Garden. Early personnel shifts may have triggered the switch, yet the original moniker did not endure, and the group had adopted the Vulture Industries name by 2002. That same year saw the appearance of their demo The Enemy Within, which was soon followed by a second effort, The Sleeper, in 2003. Their first official release arrived in 2005 with the EP The Benevolent Pawn. Momentum and a style that recalled Arcturus, Solefald, and the Provenance quickly led to a recording contract, after which the band devoted much of 2006 and 2007 to completing their debut full-length album. The resulting work, The Dystopia Journals, appeared in late 2007.
