Walter Holland

Operating from California, this musician skilled on both synthesizers and guitar first sharpened his abilities as a member of the progressive rock outfit Amber Route. His own recordings make plain an enduring passion for hard-hitting electronic tracks cast in a rock-anthem mold, shaped in part by the sounds of Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd. Holland has further distinguished himself by championing the resilient underground electronic community that thrives beyond the reach of major labels. In service of that effort he launched the independent Coriolis imprint and its affiliated distribution network, which issued the widely praised multi-artist concept album Dali: the Endless Enigma (see entry under the collections and compilations of various artists at the end of this chapter).
