Operating under the Aardvarck moniker, Mike Kivits counts among multiple esteemed talents linked to the Amsterdam-based Delsin imprint. His output centers on rich, melodic broken beat that carries the sonic warmth associated with Detroit techno. Four 12" releases issued from 2000 through 2001—Non Spoken, Ludiek, Re Spoken, and Nozum—laid groundwork for the 2002 full-length Find the Cow. Spanning 23 tracks, the album shifts between brief one-minute interludes and longer atmospheric pieces while recalling the work of the Black Dog, Sherard Ingram (specifically Urban Tribe's The Collapse of Modern Culture), and Carl Craig (specifically More Songs About Food and Revolutionary Art). As one of the first single-artist LPs issued on Delsin, Find the Cow confirmed Kivits as a techno producer worth watching.
