Biography
Hailing from Sydney, the Australian folk-pop group All Our Exes Live in Texas unites four accomplished singer/songwriters whose rich four-part vocal blends, skillful songcraft, and instrumental command have prompted likenings to First Aid Kit, the Waifs, and the Staves. The quartet assembled in 2014 around Hannah Crofts on ukulele and vocals, Georgia Mooney on mandolin and vocals, Elana Stone on accordion and vocals, and Katie Wighton on guitar and vocals. They soon became regulars at regional festivals while sharing bills with an eclectic mix of acts that included Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Passenger, Tiny Ruins, and the Backstreet Boys. An eponymous EP appeared in 2016, followed by the band’s first international outing at that year’s South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. Their debut studio album, When We Fall, emerged the year after.
