Biography
Andrew Tosh, firstborn of the late Wailer Peter Tosh, first appeared onstage at his father’s 1987 funeral, leaving mourners stunned by the physical and vocal resemblance he bore to Peter. After issuing two albums of strong promise, he came to be viewed as one of conscious reggae’s brightest prospects. A 1991 tour alongside the Wailers cemented his stature as a live performer. With sufficiently powerful material, he might yet assume his celebrated father’s mantle in the same way Ziggy Marley has done. He put out Original Man and Make Place for Youth near the close of the 1980s, then returned a decade later with Message From Jah.
