Biography
Since emerging in 2005, roots rock singer/songwriter Bart Crow and his band have logged endless miles across Southern and Midwestern routes through relentless road work. Born in Maypearl, Texas, Crow picked up guitar during high school, absorbing country and classic rock numbers, though his songwriting voice only crystallized after completing service in the U.S. Army. Once he relocated to Austin, he formed the Bart Crow Band, whose self-released debut album, Finally, unexpectedly caught on regionally and moved thousands of copies. In the five years that followed, the group issued two additional albums, accumulated thousands more miles on tour, and secured four number one singles on the Texas charts, all without label backing. Crow’s blue collar blend of Texas country, hard-edged rock, soul, and blues steadily built an audience through constant live shows, radio airplay, and sheer determination. After issuing a 2011 live album, he delivered his fourth studio release, Dandelion, which entered Billboard’s South Central Heatseekers chart at number one. Nearly ten years into his career, Crow joined the roster of the influential Nashville label and management company Thirty Tigers, which put out his fifth album, The Parade, in 2015. That same landmark year also brought his debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry during its 90th anniversary festivities.
