BINKY

Binky crafts a singularly ferocious brand of hardcore by unleashing weighty punk selections drawn from its murkiest recesses and fusing them with industrial textures alongside further abrasive sonic ingredients. The ensemble came together in San Francisco, CA, uniting the contributions of an all-female lineup that includes Klara Lux (guitar, vocals), Windy Wild (drums, vocals), Erin Luther (trumpet), and Mia d'Bruzzi (bass). Their deep reservoir of prior musical work and commanding stage presence quickly positioned them among the leading forces in the local hardcore circuit. d'Bruzzi exited in 1998 and was succeeded by Tijanna Eaton. After a string of blistering performances, the four-piece issued its debut release, Kiss the Mall Goodbye, in late 2000.
