Rosie Lowe

As a vocalist and composer, Rosie Lowe produces largely somber work that merges R&B with present-day electronic sounds. Exeter is where she was born, and her early years unfolded in an unusual setting: a timber dwelling her father had constructed that lacked a television. She attended Goldsmiths, University of London, completing a popular music curriculum while independently learning production software. In 2013 she supplied vocals for Lil Silva’s single “No Doubt” and issued the Right Thing EP on the 37 Adventures label, an effort that featured contributions from Kwes. and Dave Okumu. She subsequently joined Paul Epworth’s Polydor-supported Wolf Tone imprint, releasing a series of singles throughout 2014 and 2015, among them the Machinedrum-produced “Worry Bout Us.” Her debut album, Control, appeared in February 2016.
