Born Daniel Constantin Maximilian Ott on August 13, 1983, in Mühlheim Bei Freiburg, Bizzy Montana works as a German rapper and producer. His production of beats started in 1997, during which he accumulated regional experience both as a producer and as a DJ while also joining the rap crew Bizness Music. After forwarding a demo CD to Bushido’s ersguterjunge label in 2006, he received an invitation to assist with the label’s inaugural sampler, Nemesis. Montana issued his debut recording, the October 2006 collaboration Blackout with Chakuza. He next contributed to the additional label samplers Vendetta in 2006 and Alles Gute Kommt von Unten in 2007. That same year he delivered the street album Mukke Aus der Unterschicht, which reached number 61 on the German album charts. Its two follow-ups appeared in 2008 and 2009, landing at numbers 35 and 45 respectively. Montana appeared briefly in Bushido’s first feature film, Zeiten Andern Dich, performing the track “Weg Eines Kriegers” during one scene, yet he departed the label in March 2011. Later that year he put out the mixtape Ein Hauch von Gift. His first proper solo album, Gift, arrived in 2012 via fellow rapper Vega’s Freunde von Niemand imprint and peaked at number 32 on the German charts.
