Biography
While attending Virginia State University, New York natives Vex and Mondo encountered Jamaica-born brothers Yodared and Myntric. The four soon performed together as Boogiemonsters at campus events, and their first-place finish at Howard University’s celebrated Hip-Hop Convention prompted them to cut a demo that they then circulated in New York. Pendulum/EMI subsequently signed the MCs, resulting in the 1993 release of Riders of the Storm: The Underwater Album.
