Biography
Born in Uppsala, Sweden, during 1981, Britta Persson crafts clever and captivating pop tunes that trace the highs and lows of romantic entanglements, hinting that boys sometimes pursue girls who wear glasses, though the outcomes rarely please all involved. The singer’s first release, an ethereal and mysterious effort titled Top Quality Bones and a Little Terrorist, surfaced in 2006, earning widespread critical praise inside Sweden while stirring comparable excitement across the rest of Europe. On her second album, Kill Hollywood Me from 2008, the artist embraced a rougher, more distinctive character that secured notable airplay for the track “Cliffhanger.” Selective Notes put out Current Affair Medium Rare in 2010, which brought Persson a nomination for a Swedish Grammy Award. Her next studio collection, the fourth overall, arrived in 2013 under the title If I Was a Band My Name Would Be Forevers.
