Biography
Born in Winnipeg during 1947, Burton Cummings performed alongside the Devrons prior to becoming lead vocalist for the Guess Who in 1965. Following a decade with the ensemble, he departed to launch an independent path and delivered his debut solo album, also bearing his name, in 1976. From that project emerged the single "Stand Tall," which moved more than a million units. Further solo releases arrived in the form of My Own Way to Rock (1977), Dream of a Child (1978), Woman Love (1980), Sweet Sweet (1981), and Plus Signs (1990).
