Streetheart

The origins of the band trace back to 1975, when vocalist Ken Shields, keyboard player Daryl Gutheil, and bassist Kim Sinnaeve came together to establish Wascana. This outfit underwent a name change to Witness before evolving into Streetheart upon the 1977 arrival of guitarist Paul Dean and drummer Matt Frenette. The ensemble then put out Meanwhile Back in Paris in 1978 and Under Heaven over Hell in 1979, after which both Frenette and Dean departed to establish Loverboy. Streetheart maintained activity through 1984, issuing Quicksand Shoes in 1980, Drugstore Dancer in 1981, Action: Best of Streetheart in 1981, and Dancing with Danger in 1983.
