Biography
Emerging from Finland, the power metal ensemble Cain's Offering draws on a notable hard rock lineage and functions as a Scandinavian supergroup. Its roster includes vocalist Timo Kotipelto of Stratovarius, guitarist Jani Liimatainen, keyboardist Mikko Härkin from Sonata Arctica, bassist Jukka Koskinen of Wintersun and Norther, and drummer Jani Hurula. The project assembled in 2008 and delivered its first full-length album, Gather the Faithful, the next year on Avalon in Japan and Frontiers in Europe and the U.S. Stormcrow, the second studio release, appeared in 2015 and incorporated Stratovarius keyboard player Jens Ola Johansson along with bass player Jonas Kuhlberg.
