Biography
Operating out of Milwaukee, Erik Kowalski crafts electronic music characterized by exquisite ambient techno elements, ornate and eerie melodic lines, alongside warped trip-hop rhythms. Following more than two years of solitary studio work, he issued his self-titled first record via Star Star during 1998. The subsequent year brought Go Hawaii, issued through Wobblyhead in his hometown. Carpark became the home for his next full-length effort, Whole Numbers Play the Basics, which arrived in 2002. In addition, Kowalski teamed up with Charles Wyatt under the Charles Atlas moniker.
