Biography
Chichi Peralta, a percussionist and composer from the Dominican Republic, earned acclaim through the development of Fusón, his signature style that merges jazz with Afro-American, Afro-Cuban, and Latin rhythms. The musician's debut album Pa' Otro La'o, which he recorded in 1997, appeared in both Latin America and the U.S. and secured him a Lo Nuestro Award. Partnering with César Olarte and René Geraldino in 2000, Chichi Peralta released De Vuelta Al Barrio and then embarked on a worldwide tour.
