Singer, songwriter, and producer Chuck Adams has channeled his work across R&B, hip-hop, and country throughout his professional path. Raised in Connecticut, he absorbed influences from Dr. Dre, Nirvana, Mariah Carey, Garth Brooks, and Shania Twain. While pursuing a business administration degree, he continued crafting songs, and after finishing his studies he built recognition within New York’s songwriting community. Under the alias Range he created “One More Drink” during a 2008 songwriting camp; the track became a hit for Ludacris and T-Pain and earned Adams an ASCAP award in 2010. Around the same period he supplied material to Jamie Foxx and Tinie Tempah while also handling production duties for Wale and Ray J. A subsequent agreement with Roc Nation led to his 2010 collaboration with Rick Ross on the single “Ghetto Dance.” After parting ways with the label in 2011, Adams explored introspective R&B before shifting toward more tuneful material that revived his early affinity for country. Relocating to Nashville, he resurfaced with the 2015 single “Shotgun” and the independently issued EP A Thousand Tomorrows. He later joined 300 Entertainment and teamed with Jacquire King for the late-2017 release “Take Me as I Am.”
