Goth-tinged singer-songwriter Claire Diterzi entered the world as Claire Touzi dit Terzi in Tours, France, during 1971. Her debut solo album Boucle appeared in 2006. Although critical and popular acclaim later arrived for her individual songwriting and vocal delivery, she began her path within the ensembles Forguette Mi Not and Dit Terzi. Once those outfits receded, she shifted toward theater and took part in Philippe Decoufle’s 2001 production Iris. Several years spent in Japan, accompanied by additional stage engagements, eventually rekindled her drive to record, this time centered exclusively on solo work. Boucle, self-produced by Diterzi, earned the Grand Prix du Disque from L’Academie Charles-Cros in 2006; the praise it received opened the door to scoring duties for Anne Feinsilber’s 2007 film Requiem for Billy the Kid. She resurfaced in 2008 with the follow-up album Tableau de Chasse, issued on Naive Records.
