The Milan-rooted hip-hop trio Club Dogo emerged from the influential Sacre Scuole collective, a cornerstone institution in Italian hip-hop. Rappers Jake La Furia and Guercio—sometimes credited as Guè Pequeno or Lucky Luciano—joined forces with producer Don Joevanni to anchor the crew, whose loose membership also encompassed freestyle champion Dargen. Early visibility arrived through partnerships with Zippo & Chief, DJ Skizo, and DJ Enzo, whose contributions surfaced on various mixtapes and compilations during those formative years. Their first album, MC Al Cubo, appeared in 2000 and achieved modest traction, yet the follow-up, Mi Fist, issued in 2003 and featuring Aken, Issam Lamaislam, and Dargen, quickly gained traction as one of Italy’s top-selling independent releases that year, prompting a 2004 reissue on the Vibra Records imprint.

A joint double LP with Bologna’s Porzione Massiccia crew, PMC vs. Club Dogo, propelled both acts forward and cemented their status as leading hip-hop outfits in Milan and Bologna respectively. The trio’s next solo studio effort, Penna Capitale, arrived in 2006 and pivoted toward narratives of street life, positioning them as Milan’s primary exponents of “gang urbana” culture. Their 2007 major-label debut, Vile Denaro, issued via EMI, broadened their reach despite subsequent critiques of stylistic compromises tied to the contract. Shifting to Universal for Dogocrazia in 2009 sustained momentum, yielding no fewer than five hit singles, while the more conventional Che Bello Essere Noi surfaced the following year. By 2012 they explored dance textures on Noi Siamo il Club.
