Biography
Originating in Linköping, Corporation 187 supposedly takes its name from the Swedish police designation for homicide and maintains both sonic affinities and overlapping personnel with the kindred death-tinged thrash acts Satanic Slaughter and Witchery. Formed at first to deliver Slayer covers by vocalist Pelle Severin, guitarists Magnus Pettersson and Olof Knuttson, bassist Jonas Ekstrom, and drummer Robert Eng, the band soon turned to writing original songs that yielded the albums Subliminal Fear (2000) and Perfection in Pain (2002); these introduced vocalist Filip Carlsson and bassist Viktor Klint after European tours shared with Lord Bellial and the already noted Satanic Slaughter.
