Db.Boutabag hails from Sacramento, California, where he has built a reputation as a rapper whose West Coast style blends cocky and confrontational energy with cool composure and broad appeal. His energetic bars and outside-of-the-box beats have drawn increasing attention from listeners, resulting in multimillion streaming figures for breakout tracks such as "Don't Choke" and "1st Off," while he has also delivered full-length projects including 2024's Still Klockin.
Releasing music began for him toward the close of the 2010s, highlighted by the West Coast hip-hop-informed 2019 song "Bag Klan Trippin'." Over time his approach shifted, moving beyond the bouncy bass and sunny street flows of his earliest work toward inventive production paired with modernized ad libs on the 2020 mixtape 2 Klocks, then incorporating airy trap elements on the 2021 album Say You Boutabag, which contained two of his strongest tracks to that date in "1st Off" and "Top Rapper." Steady releases followed, encompassing the 2022 album The Real Boutabag, 2023's Shit Talk > Rap with guest contributions from Skilla Baby and Kflex, and 2024's Still Klockin, alongside numerous additional singles and full-length collections.
