Biography
Starleana Young and Curt Jones, previously affiliated with Slave and Aurra, launched their partnership under the name Symphonic Express before it became known as Déjà. Their 1987 Virgin release "You and Me Tonight" climbed to the number-two R&B slot, falling just short of the summit and serving as one of two charting singles the label issued for the act. The second single, "That's Where You'll Find Me," entered the R&B Top 20 in 1988 and remained their final chart appearance. Album output consisted of Serious in 1987, Made to Be Together in 1989, and I Like It (Like That) in 1997.
