Biography
Hailing from Winnipeg's northern suburbs, singer/songwriter Goody Grace fuses hip-hop beats with acoustic guitar strumming in a sound shaped equally by Wiz Khalifa and Gucci Mane alongside Bob Dylan and Morrissey. During his teenage years, a string of rising singles secured him a major-label contract that produced the 2018 EP Infinite and the 2021 album Don't Forget Where You Came From, whose track "Scumbag" featured blink-182.
Born in Selkirk, Canada, Grace handles vocals, rap verses, and guitar, having begun playing at age four before drawing teenage listeners through renditions of the Weeknd and Taylor Swift. He contributed songwriting to Cody Simpson's "Flower" and gnash's "That One Song," while also guesting on Huey Mack's "Things Change," Hoodie Allen's "Heartbreak," and gnash's "Two Shots." His own first release, "Memories," surfaced in 2015, followed in 2016 by "Pretend," "So, What Does This All Mean?," and "Memorie$" with Jesse Rutherford and A$AP Ant. The ensuing year brought "April" and "Strange Times," as the earlier "Two Shots" accumulated 12 million streams and earned Grace an Atlantic contract.
Infinite, his first project for the label, landed in spring 2018 and featured both "Two Shots" and the Lil Aaron collaboration "In the Light of the Moon." That summer he rejoined Rutherford on "Too High," then closed the year with December's "Rest Your Eyes." The single "Wasting Time" arrived during summer 2019. February 2021 saw the arrival of Don't Forget Where You Came From, an album rich in features from blink-182, G-Eazy, Burna Boy, Juicy J, and additional artists.
