Hailing from California, the five-piece Peach Tree Rascals produce lighthearted, optimistic pop that reflects the luminous vibe of their Pacific setting. Drawing on lush R&B arrangements alongside melodic elements from classic rock, the ensemble issued tracks individually during their initial years. Several singles achieved widespread streaming traction, including the buoyant 2019 release “Mariposa” and the more indie-leaning “Things Won’t Go My Way” from 2020. Building on this momentum, they issued the EPs Camp Nowhere in 2021 and Does a Fish Know It’s Wet? in 2022. Following performances across Japan, the group unveiled the expanded 2024 project Love, The Rascals.

High school friends Dominic Pizano, Jorge Olazaba, Joseph Barros, Tarrek Abdel-Khaliq, and Issac Pech established Peach Tree Rascals in the Bay Area, with Pizano handling production and DJ duties, Olazaba directing creative elements, and the remaining three providing vocals. Output began in 2018, and early singles rapidly attracted a broad audience, amassing millions of streams within months. Throughout 2019 the band paired new material such as “Summa” and “Mariposa” with videos and limited merchandise, heightening visibility. After moving to Los Angeles in 2020 they continued issuing tracks including “Deer” and “Not OK” while refining their airy, relaxed aesthetic. Their debut EP, Camp Nowhere, arrived in March 2021, recorded in seclusion near Yosemite National Park amid the COVID-19 pandemic and featuring the single “Leave Me.” A second EP, Does a Fish Know It’s Wet?, followed in July 2022, with End of Time appearing that December. In 2023 the ensemble extended their live reach through shows in Japan. Early 2024 brought singles “Highwitcha,” “Rendezvous,” and “Cigarettes,” the last gaining chart attention there, before the collected material formed the November release Love, The Rascals.
