Biography
Acclaim came to the German rapper Dendemann for his singular delivery and dry observations drawn from ordinary existence. Born Daniel Ebel in Menden, he also recorded under the names Daniel LaRusso, Olaf Mitender, and Volker Racho. His earliest recordings appeared with fellow rapper Majubiese and producer Carsten "Boogie" Schulz in the group Arme Ritter, whose Sony Music single "Disco '95 (Singt und Schwingt das Bein)" found commercial traction. Dendemann next formed the duo Eins Zwo with DJ Rabauke and contributed guest verses to many other hip-hop projects. After Eins Zwo disbanded in 2003, he released the solo EP Das Schweigen Dilemma. A first full-length album, Die Pfütze des Eisbergs, did not arrive until 2006. The single "Endlich Nichtschwimmer" appeared in early 2007.
