Diablo Blvd derives its name from a Corrosion of Conformity track and operates as a Belgian hard rock supergroup whose members hail from A Brand, Born from Pain, and Meuris. Flemish comedian-turned-vocalist Alex Agnew joins guitarists Andries Beckers and Dave Hubrechts, bassist Tim Bekaert, and drummer Kris Martens in a lineup that first assembled in Antwerp in 2005 and later secured a PIAS contract.

The band tracked and issued its debut album, The Greater God, in 2009. Its follow-up, Builders of Empires, surfaced in 2011 with production from Jens Bogren and registered a stronger Belgian chart placement than the preceding release. Follow the Deadlights, the third album, appeared in 2014 on Sony Music and climbed to number three on the Belgian charts.

That year the group moved to Nuclear Blast and delivered the Rise Like Lions EP. A worldwide reissue of Deadlights arrived in early 2015 at the moment Hubrechts exited the lineup. Zero Hour, released in 2017 on Nuclear Blast/Metalville, spotlighted the singles “Animal” and “Sing from the Gallows.” Influenced by Type O Negative, Black Sabbath, Killing Joke, and Sisters of Mercy, the fourth LP offered the band’s most overtly political statement to date, shaped by global politics.
