Don Tetto emerged as a Latin alternative rock outfit from Colombia when the quartet formed in Bogotá during 2003. Its lineup has remained steady with Diego Pulecio handling rhythm guitar and vocals, Carlos Leongomez on lead guitar, Jaime Valderrama covering bass and vocals, and Jaime Medina on drums. The group first attracted nationwide attention after the Bogotá rock station Radioactiva began spinning a demo version of “Pienso” that same year. Continued airplay on the station later brought exposure to the follow-up tracks “Yo Estaré Bien” and “Soledad,” while the band simultaneously built a reputation for strong live performances, notably at the yearly Rock al Parque festival held in the capital. A deal with the independent Bogotá label Cabeza de Ratón Music Entertainment led to the 2007 release of their debut album Lo Que No Sabias, produced in the city by Jorge Holguín. The record reworked several songs already familiar from radio play, added fresh singles including “Ha Vuelto a Suceder,” and later appeared in an expanded international edition on the American imprint 786 Music in 2008.
