Biography
Sing It Loud blends emo and alternative pop/rock with an upbeat energy, thanks to vocalist Pat Brown, bassist Nate Flynn, keyboardist Ben Peterson, guitarist Kieren Smith, and drummer Chris Lee. The Minneapolis natives launched the group in 2007 once Brown’s prior band, the Semester, had dissolved. A contract with Epitaph Records arrived after only a handful of early gigs, at which point they also entered the studio with Motion City Soundtrack’s Josh Cain to track a self-titled EP that surfaced in early 2008. Their full-length debut, Come Around, appeared several months later. Following the summer 2009 Warped Tour, the musicians returned to recording and emerged with the more reflective, mature-sounding Everything Collide in May 2010.
