Dottie Peoples

Dottie Peoples ranks among the most decorated gospel singers of the 1990s. Her introduction to audiences arrived through a pair of 1991 cassette projects, Is It Worth It All? and Surely God Is Able. Breakthrough status came with the 1993 album Live, which prompted a Stellar Award nomination for Best Female Solo Performance: Traditional. The follow-up On Time God captured four Stellar Awards—for Traditional Female Vocalist, Traditional Choir, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year via the title track—plus the prestigious Vision Award in the same year. A second Female Vocalist of the Year prize arrived in 1996, accompanied by nominations at the Soul Train Awards and Dove Awards. She has also appeared in concert with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Testify reached stores in 1997, God Can & God Will arrived two years afterward, and Show Up & Show Out surfaced in fall 2000.
