Biography
East London's production outfit Dr. Vades weaves R&B, pop, hip-hop, electronic, and Afrobeat elements into melodic, danceable tracks. The pair comprises siblings Kane and Jay Busia, who operate under the professional names Dr. Kane & Jay Vades. Raised in a household steeped in music, the brothers each built independent production careers prior to uniting in late 2014. Their first major success arrived the next year with the Yxng Bane, Kojo Funds, and Don Elito single "Balenciaga." In 2016 Dr. Vades inked a publishing agreement with Good Soldier Songs. March 2017 saw another partnership with Don Elito on "You Alright Yeah?"; that June brought the release of "Freaky," a joint effort featuring Beenie Man and Wande Coal.
